Blokpod Review and 20% off

Blokpod is a 2 in 1 toy storage and organising solution.

When Blokpod advertised looking for bloggers to review their storage system, I emailed them straight away.

The system looked brilliant and having two sons that both enjoy playing lego I thought this would be a great product to try out and report back to you lovelies.

What child doesn't like lego? However the mess afterwards..... why do they need to tip the whole box out across the carpet? It baffles me. Of course it is left to us to clear it up, and there is always one you miss.....My more feet.

Blokpod really sold it to me with the information of the product on Amazon.

Why hasn't this been thought of sooner?! Not only is it easier for you child to find the pieces they want, meaning no more lego across the carpet and a life saver for my feet. It is also easier to store away and looks really pretty with all the different sizes and coloured pieces.

Taylor was so excited, we spent last Sunday sorting though all his lego and then poured it into the Blokpod.

Taylor had a pretty big box of lego that was filled to the top, and we managed to get every singe piece inside. It was really easy too, you just remove the lid and pour your lego or other building blocks you have into the top and shake from side to side. Watch all the piece drop and sort from large to small within seconds.

It all twists to unlock and lock into place, meaning it can be carried from one room to another without fearing your child dropping it and lego going everywhere. The grills inside that separate the pieces into sizes are also removable. So if you don't want the Blokpod for sorting purposes you don't have to, you can just use it it as a toy storage/ toy box or even separating into two separate containers.

I would definitely recommend this especially if you have a lego loving member in you family. The Blokpod is avalible from Amazon for £44.99, however you can get a code for 20% off by popping over to http://www.blokpod.com and subscribe!!!

Randomise Game

The Randomise mission is to help you spend more quality time laughing with your friends and family

A few weeks back I received an email from Hazel, the creator of the game Randomise. She was giving me a chance to review their new game. It sounded great fun, and I couldn't wait to receive it and give it a go.

Randomise is a card game that is aimed for age 8+ for 4 or more people.

There is three different cards labeled A,B and C. Each card has 6 different words 3 hard and 3 easy. You separate into two teams and take it in turns to describe act or draw to your team.

The opposite team will give you three random numbers (1-3) which will then give you, your new identity.

Each card is a different category, Card A describes you (happy, Hairy, Vain) Card B tells you what you are (octopus, astronaut, Lion) Card C tells you what your doing (Eating spaghetti, playing football, baking a cake)

We really enjoyed the game and found the curious identities very funny, Crazy and very random. Hence the name, Randomise!

I like that there is three ways to communicate with your team to reveal your identity. This makes it easier for your child to join in and enjoy the game as well.

The only down side to this game is there is no pencil, note pad or a timer. Seeing as part of the game is to time each turn and drawing is a way of communicating with your team. I think it would be nice if these were supplied with the game.

For £9.99 i think it is only fair that these things are included. However even if the price was lower, the game isn't really playable out of the box. Especially if bought to take when travelling in the car, train plane etc.
I also think this should be made clear on amazon incase someone buys to travel with and doesn't  look though the game/instructions before traveling.

Thank you ever so much for sending us the game Hazel. We really had a great evening playing it and look forward to playing it in A bigger team at family gatherings.

Child's Farm Bath Range

After months of searching for new products for my boys to use in the bath, I finally found a range that not only am I happy with but they also enjoy as well.

While I was making a recent order on boot.com I came across Childs Farm toiletries. I read though the description of the products and I decided to do a little more research on this brand before I decided to buying it.

While searching though the Childs Farm Website I was pleasantly surprised.
  • They were awarded bronze in best baby skincare range.
  • Their products are suitable for children with sensitive and eczema prone skin.
  • Meaning their ingredients are 98% natural derived with essential oils, Free from parabens, SLSs, Mineral oils and artificial colours.
  • Product are never tested on animals

Their website put my mind at rest and I went ahead and ordered the cleaning kit which contained 100ml in Bubble bath, Hair and body wash and moisturiser.

As I was doing the order online and that I hadn't seen or smelt any of their products before, I wasn't sure what to expect. However when they arrived I opened them up gave them a *Whiff * WOW! They smelt amazing.

There are so many products to choose from in a range sense.
  • Bathtime - Bubble wash, Hair and Body wash and 3 in 1 swim
  • Haircare - Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair detangler
  • Skincare - Hand wash, Moisturiser and Nappy cream
  • Suncare - 50+ SPF Sun cream and After sun
  • Grapefruit and Tea Tree
  • Raspberry
  • Strawberry and Mint
  • Sweet Orange
  • Tangerine

I couldn't wait to use them, so that night I ran a bath for the boys. I first added the organic Tangerine bubble bath to the running water and with in seconds the bathroom smelt incredible. After a minute or so my eldest appeared from his bedroom asking what I had put in their bath. He sat with me in the bathroom while the bath was running watching the bubbles appear, eager to get in.

The bubbles where light and fluffy and very soft, with the water also feeling soft and soothing on the skin.

Taylor couldn't wait to use the hair and body wash, so he wet his hair and I applied a 5p amount to his head. Yet again this product smelt amazing and the bathroom soon filled with the aroma of the sweet orange. It bubbled up nicely and left his hair smelling amazing and left his hair feeling much softer then his other shampoo does.

It was very difficult to get them out of the bath that night, where they were loving blowing the bubbles at one another. However when i finally did i each sat them done to use the Grapefruit and Tea Tree moisturiser.

I don't normally use a moisturiser on their skin as other brands I have used in the past left there skin feeling greasy. The boys enjoyed sitting there applying it to their skin and rubbing it in. Freddie kept smelling his hands and the bottle saying Yummm...! This product didn't leave there skin greasy in any way, it felt very soft and moisturised and left them smell delicious.

If you haven't yet tried the Childs Farm products i differently recommend it. I can't wait for my next trip to boots to pick a few other product and senses to try out. Not only do I love the product the boys enjoy them all too. Now they know that once they get out they can use the moisturiser it isn't so hard to get them out, They love it.

Let me know if you have or still used the Childs farm products and which ones you recommend for my next purchase.

Gro Clock

Are you having a little trouble getting your little ones to bed or are they getting up to early?

When The Gro Company contacted me asking if I would like to try one of their products to review, I was so excited because I've herd such great things about the company and their products.

After searching though their website, the product that stood out to me was the Gro-Clock. Taylor, my eldest is quite an early bird and now that it is getting lighter earlier in the mornings meant he was getting up even earlier.

When i received the Gro Clock i couldn't wait to set it up and see if it would help.

A Little Bit About It

Setting it up was quick and easy with clear and easy to follow instructions to do so. You simply add in the times of your child's bedtime and when its ok to get up, and the clock does the rest. At bed time the glow screen will show a star and small stars around the outside that go out one by one during the night to show time passing. The image will then change to a Yellow sun in morning at the time set by you, to indicate its now ok to get up.

The Glo clock also has many other features that you can change. You have the options to set two wake up times (weekdays/weekends or nap times) An alarm feature and you have an option to have a digital clock during the star to sun countdown.

The clock is suitable from 2+ and comes with a bedtime storybook which helps to encourage your child to stay in bed longer.  You can choose the brightness of the screen and the clock is mains powered. You can also lock the clock, this is a usefull feature if the clock is left in a place where the child can reach it.

Did it help?

It sure did! Even though some mornings he wakes up before the time I have set it for he no longer gets out of bed. Some days we have herd him reading a book and 10 minutes later its gone quite where he has drifted back off to sleep and we then have to wake him up later.

I can see this clock being useful for children that hate going to bed also. My youngest now goes into Taylor's room and looks at the clock and when he sees the star he points and tells me bedtime. This looks promising for in the future when Taylor no longer needs it Freddie will be happy to have it in his room.

I love the Gro clock, its an amazing product and at just £29.99 it a brilliant price too. I also saw on The Gro Company website they had a reward chart that is free to download that may also help.

Thank you to The Gro Company for sending me the clock to try it has made such a difference and I'm no longer being woken at silly o'clock in the mornings.

do you have the Gro Clock? Do you have any questions? I will love to hear from you.

Mothers Day Gift Idea

Finding it difficult to find something to get for you mum for mothers day!

Don't you worry I have picked up some amazing bits from Morrisons to share with you.

I tried to pick up items aimed for a range of ages, so no matter what age your mum is there is something here for her.

Morrisons have so many lovely bits and all really reasonably priced at £6 or under. It was very tempting to buy everything, so beware! :)

The first thing I saw was this cute little elephant teddy holding a heart with special mum on. I thought this would be perfect for a first mothers day gift. Its super soft and cuddly a perfect size to sit on a bedside table.  £3

The mothers day voucher book i thought was a perfect gift from children that can start helping around the house. The children can give their mum a voucher that either gives her a day off form housework, receiving her favourite dinner, having a relaxing bubble bath and two vouchers where the children can write their own.  £1

This tray caught my eye, i loved everything about it. The pretty colours, The little rhyme and the two owls. This tray is perfect for breakfast in bed (hint hint dads) with the cushion underneath to rest on legs.  £5

No mum can have to many pillows! This cute little pillow with a pale pink heart and the word love embroiled is a perfect gift with a perfect price.  £1

This white trinket box is stunning and perfect for us mums to store all our little nicknacks away. With the glass panel with flowers in a heart shape with mum in the middle makes it that much more special then a normal storage box.  £5

Skincare is a perfect mothers day gift to treat your mum so she can pamper herself.

When I saw the Loreal Paris day and night cream down form £10.27 each to just £5 I thought this would be a perfect thing to share with you. Maybe your mum uses them already, you could save her over £20 and get both of them for the price of one.

The Olay set yet again was just £5. This daily moisturiser is perfect even if she doesn't use this make or even a moisturiser I'm sure she will enjoy and use it.

Spring is now upon us and if you mum is a big gardening fan then these two gardening sets would be perfect for her. I saw these and fell in love, I liked the matching aqua bluey green colour with the pink flowers on the handles. They are super girly and better then the ones you can buy from garden centres in green or brown. £5 each

Chocolate, what mum doesn't want to receive chocolate on mothers day. Its the 1st time since christmas that we can pig out without feeling guilty :) £6

I hope these gift ideas have given you a little inspiration. I would love to hear what you have got your mum this mothers day or what hints you have given your husband/partner :)

I hope you all have an amazing day. xx
